It is such a lousy day. I was late today for the National Day celebration. Well I am not exactly late, it is just that the band had to prepare earlier and I arrived right at the moment they had started tuning. Was reprimanded by Vivien for being late, in fact being the last person to fall in today(I don't know whether that's true). Blame the bus for being late or myself.
Well the marchpass today was completely screwed. Jun Hao complained that one Horn player was moving too quickly forward and cut into his line as a result. I didn't know as I only need to take note of the person on my left(Wei Da) and my front(Da Zhao). Anyway at least the National Day is over and now I have OBS to look forward to.
OBS isn't really that exciting as you think it might be. Yes it really is the one and only chance the sec 3s can gather at Pulau Ubin for a week's camp and fun, it is also a chance for you to foster stronger bonds with your classmates and learn that if you think you can achieve something, and you really put in effort to do it, you will succeed and so on and so forth. But then, it really is so troublesome to pack a LARGE bag for the 5 day camp.
Weird instruction: We will be under the hot sun, but we need to wear long sleeve shirts and pants to protect from mosquito bites.
Ok the above is all my long-winded speech. But I still got alot more to say about what went through my mind today. It really sort of change me abit after I have thought about it. That was when I went to Geelyn's blog and Janice's blog during blog-hopping.
But first, let me tell you a story. It only happened yesterday:
I have a friend who studied in Chua Chu Kang Sec. He has a friend who fancies a girl in his class. It all started during racial harmony day, when students are supposed to wear their custom uniforms to school. When Stephanie(the girl's name) shows up in her custom chinese costume she look so beautiful that the boy(Quan Zhong) was attracted to her so deeply. He started giving her hints that he like and fancies her, and would like to go out with her and so on. Little did he know that one day, Stephanie went up to him and said gravely:
"You know, Quan Zhong, I think there's simply no use of you continuing to behave like that. Lets just be friends, shall we?"
A simple clarification with him after school had left Quan Zhong so heartbroken. He thought of himself having tried so hard in the past few months. He had pleaded his friends to initiate both of them together. In the end it sort of worked and Quan Zhong succeeded in taking a picture together with Stephanie. Subsequently after that, Quan Zhong started giving more clues that he like her. He began to go up to her desk in between lessons just to chat with her. It is mostly about stupid stuffs and he usually ended up speechless. Stephanie hence suspects that something is going on and she finally voiced out herself to Quan zhong, without even letting him have a chance to get prepared for this. This tale was told by my friend and adapted by yours truly. After my friend had went home, I went blog hopping without any concern to the previous issue, until I came across Geelyn and Janice's blog:
Geelyn's blog: WEI QIN: I STILL BELIEVE IN LOVE!!!
Janice's blog: LOVE is a sweet thingAnd then everything just sort of squeeze into my mind all of a sudden. Love is a sweet thing, people believe in love. From the story previously, if Stephanie had accepted Quan Zhong, what will actually happen? They will spend alot of time with each other and their studies will be affected. She rejected him in the end, it hurts Quan Zhong deeply as he is really fond of her, but then thinking of the consequences that will follow the decision, none of them is actually bad. At most it will be the avoiding of each other in school, but hey you two are still fifteen! You can still be friends and everything will turn out fine!
A random person who is looking at the sky previously shouted:
"Hey Anselm what have you got to say about students, who are also fifteen, that are dating happily now? There are alot of young people nowadays out there, fifteen, with boyfriends and girlfriends. They always spend time after school together and some might even move on to hugging and kissing stages. What about them?"Well, good question! Lets see, nowadays teenagers are always at the verge of want to experience and try out new things. Looking at their good friends approaching them with a partner beside him or her holding hands, they also want to try how it might feel like. At a higher percentage, a boy would straightly go to a girl whom he have just met for a short time. He would fill her with lots of sweet words and stuff, before you knew it they would be dating a week or two later. Since this is so, let me go back abruptly to love. Love is slow and steady, while like is fast and unsteady. Love leads to Husband and wife, but like AT MOST only lead to boyfriend and girlfriend.
For those teenagers who have went on to hugging and kissing stages, I really have no comments for them. I can guarantee that this only happens to couples that have dated for a very short time, but have dedicate too much to each other. One advice is: Tone down and concentrate on your studies. Would you like your so-called
love now or a bright future?
Liking a person until you can't think sensibly without him or her, also known as infatuation is just one of the many unimportant things that we let into our minds. And then it is usually too late when we one discover what really makes him or her blind.
Phew I have posted so much today. I hope what I have posted makes sense to you. Small relationships are ok but don't let it get the better of you! Time to look forward to my 4-day holiday!
Oh yea, I almost forgot. I still need to do my AMaths and hand in after I come back from OBS. Better find someone to help me! ^o^
