It's 11.07pm, 7th July(Nice), the first day of term 3 of SAJC is (long) over.
I feel like an urge to blog about today, it is just too difficult not to.
I got to school early today and went to sit in the canteen, taking out my fiction to read. An unfamiliar girl approached me and sit down at my 2 o' clock. I find her unfamiliar particularly because of her hairstyle - It was shaven... Wait is that a girl at all, that girl know me?
It was then when I realise that it was Yan Yu, and SHE HAS SHAVEN HER HEAD OFF FOR CHARITY! WOW! I mean, it is just too good for words. I asked/interviewed her why would she do so, she say, well I've wanted to do this for a long time... O_o
We then proceeded to the LT for our daily temperature taking, me cooking up a lame temperature as usual. We received our new timetables and when I stared down at it, a moment later I literally gaped at it. I mean, WHAT THE HELL? Any SAJCian who compares my timetable with my previous one for Term 1 and Term 2 will say that 09S20's timetable is absurd. Other than Tuesday, which is a standard 2.30pm release due to Project Work lectures, we are released after 3pm EVERYDAY! Oh gosh...
After the Scripture Reading, there are a few announcements. I shall summarise it as follows:
1) Every lecture and tutorial in future, due to H1N1, we are supposed to sit according to Register Number order, clustered together. Reason being to 'achieve' social distancing.
2) Due to H1N1, College Day aka Service Learning(is it?) Day is postponed. Lessons continue as per normal. People who missed exams or have not completed their exams still need to go through them.
3) Jacob Ballas Bridge entrance will only be opened from 6.30am to 7.30am DUE TO H1N1... As a result, students can only exit from the main gate or the side gate towards Potong Pasir MRT station.
Oh... the frustration for 1 and 3...
Let me talk about number 1 first. In past Biology and Chemistry lectures, I will always sit alone. Call me anti-social, but I prefer very much to have both seats beside me empty so that I can have lots of space to put my bags, water bottle, notes and so on. Now the stupid new sitting arrangement is up, I have to sit with 2 people, namely Petras and Angeline, side by side in such a cramped space. Oh the horror. Is this really to prevent the spreading and worsening of H1N1??? I mean, let's say Chemistry lecture sitting plan is still the previous one, when I sneeze, at most 3 people are in direct contact with me. In the new sitting arrangement, one sneeze would be able to 'cover' 7, 8 people. Damn!
Number 3 is just as bad. I think the Jacob Ballas Bridge should be the pathway to be least considered to be closed down. I mean, more than 1/4 of the students use this bridge to come to school/go home. If you can open it for us to come to school, why not just open it for us to leave as well? If you are scared of visitors carrying the virus into SAJC, why not position a lame security guard there, then benefitting all the students using the Jacob Ballas Bridge.
Tsk.
Nevertheless, today's Tchoukball is fun LOL! There is more tomorrow!
As usual I can't wait to get back my results...
